Nawazuddin Siddiqui took to Instagram and shared a three-page carousel post, explaining his side of the story. Captioning, “This is not an accusation, but rather expresses my side of the story, the actor explained how he has been ‘called the bad guy,’ adding that he remained silent because of his children. In pointer format, the actor clarified about his stand. He started with their relationship status and revealed about his children, saying. “First of all, Aaliya and I have not stayed together for several years, we are already divorced, but we definitely understood each other only because of our children. Does anyone know why my children are in India and not attending school for 45 days, in which the school sends me letters every day that it has been too long an absence? My children have been held hostage for the past 45 days and are missing out on their studies in Dubai.
On the next page, he continued on his allegations, adding: “He had abandoned the children in Dubai for the last 4 months before calling them here under the pretense of demanding money. On average, they have paid him about 10 lakhs per month for the past 2 years and 5-7 lakhs per month before moving to Dubai with my children, excluding school, medical, travel and other leisure expenses. I also financed all 3 of her films which cost me crores of rupees, just to help establish her income stream as she is the mother of my children. She got fancy cars for my kids, but she sold them and spent the money on herself. I also bought a luxurious beachfront apartment in Versova, Mumbai for my children. Aaliya became a co-owner of said apartment because my children are young. I have given my children an apartment in Dubai, where she also lived comfortably. She just wants more money and so she has filed numerous cases against me and my mother and it is her routine that she has done the same thing in the past as well and she drops the case when she is paid based on her demand.”
She further went on to assert strongly that she had ‘dragged her children’ into this fight, adding: “Whenever the children came to India for their holidays, they used to stay only with their grandmother. How could anyone kick them out of the house? I myself was not in the house during that time. Why didn’t she make a video of being kicked out, while she makes a video of every random thing? She has dragged the children into this drama and she is doing all of this simply to blackmail me, smear my reputation, her intention to spoil my career and comply with her illegitimate demands.”
He concluded by arguing that, like any parent, he was concerned about giving his children a secure future and that he would do everything possible to fulfill it.
