NCOC to make final decision on winter vacations tomorrow

A meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) on Tuesday decided that the final decision on the winter vacations of educational institutes will be taken by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) tomorrow.

Consultations were held between the Ministry of Health and the Provincial Ministers of Education on winter vacations.

All provincial and federal education ministries have agreed to hold winter vacations in educational institutions from December 25 to January 5.

The meeting of inter-provincial education secretary finalized recommendations while the final decision will be taken tomorrow (Wednesday) by the NCOC. Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood will attend the NCOC meeting tomorrow.

Spokesperson for the Federal Ministry of Education said that recommendations had been taken from all the provinces regarding the winter holidays and a decision would be taken tomorrow after final decision.

The spokesperson said that all provinces and textbook boards were instructed to publish the Cabinet s approved political map in books, adding that prior to this, various maps were being published in different provinces.
