New Hampshire stargazers could catch glimpse of comet this weekend

ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT’S SO CLEAR RIGHT NOW. YEAH, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. WE WERE TALKING ABOUT IT DURING THE 730 NEWSCAST LAST NIGHT AS EVERYBODY WAS TELLING US, GO OUTSIDE AND TAKE A LOOK. IT REALLY WAS BEAUTIFUL FOR A SHORT TIME AND ESPECIALLY WITHOUT A CAMERA NOW, IT’S ALWAYS BEST TO GRAB YOUR PHONE AND TRY TO DO A SHORT TIME LAPSE AND YOU’RE ABLE TO SEE A BIT MORE OF THE COLOR UP THERE. THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION, THOUGH, IS YES, WE COULD SEE IT AGAIN TONIGHT, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED TO BE AS VIBRANT AND AS WIDESPREAD, BUT WE DON’T HAVE ANY CLOUDS OUT THERE. SO WITH A CLEAR SKY, THERE’S A GOOD CHANCE IF IT HAPPENS, YOU COULD SEE IT. BEST THING TO DO IS LOOK TO THE NORTH, LOW ON THE HORIZON. GET AWAY FROM CITY LIGHTS. ANOTHER THING TO CHECK OUT IN THE NIGHT SKY TONIGHT. THERE’S A COMET THAT’S VISIBLE. AND THIS ONE YOU WANT TO LOOK TO THE WEST RIGHT AFTER SUNSET. IT’S ONLY VISIBLE RIGHT AFTER SUNSET, AND THEN IT FADES AWAY BELOW THE HORIZON. AND OF COURSE, THE FORECAST FOR THAT ALSO LOOKS GOOD. MAINLY CLEAR. AND IT WILL MAKE ITS CLOSEST PASS TO EARTH TOMORROW NIGHT. AT THAT TIME. SO TRY IF YOU WANT TO, THIS EVENING AND TOMORROW EVENING, RIGHT AFTER SUNSET, TO TAKE A LOOK. A comet that hasn’t been seen in tens of thousands of years could be visible in the New Hampshire sky this weekend.NASA recently documented the comet’s first flyby of Earth.Scientists estimated this specific comet, known as C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS, won’t be seen again for 80,000 years.To check it out, make sure to look in the western part of the sky, low to the horizon, and shortly after sunset beginning Saturday night. It might be visible for a few days after that, if the skies are clear.Viewing conditions look great in most areas for seeing the comet in the Granite State. Saturday evening will be mainly clear. Clouds will start to increase later in the evening and overnight. It will be cloudy with rain Sunday evening, so the best bet for viewing is Saturday evening.
