foxnews host Maria Bartiromo on sunday set the table for the guest Newt Gingrich tell outrageous lies about democrats and elections. (Look the following video).
“Democrats are passionate about stealing them,” the former Republican House speaker said without a shyness.
Gingrich, a foxnews contributor, also claimed without evidence that union workers steered nursing home residents into voting Democratic, and that fair elections are now impossible.
Bartiromo was a prominent figure in Dominion Voting System’s defamation lawsuit against Fox News in which it said the network falsely claimed the machines were rigged in 2020. The channel agreed to pay $787.5 million in its settlement of the lawsuit.
But here she was on Sunday hurling obvious questions at Gingrich so he could spout more right-wing bullshit about election “integrity.” Republican presidential candidate donald trump he continues to use his 2020 defeat as a campaign platform, encouraging the likes of Bartiromo to take the conversation to the air. However, Mediaite pointed that Bartiromo and Gingrich were careful not to make specific accusations.
“Are Republicans doing enough to ensure free and fair elections in 2024?” Bartiromo asked Gingrich.
“I think it’s almost impossible under current law to ensure an accurate election,” Gingrich responded. “And I think the only long-term Republican strategy is to pick issues and win by such large margins that they can’t steal it. If you have a very close election, the Democrats are passionate about stealing it.”
And then this baseless stupidity from the ex-legislator:
“When you have the local union, which deals with people in a nursing home who are going to vote, people who literally don’t cognitively know what they’re doing, you know that that union will vote every single one of them for a Democrat no matter which ones. were his personal beliefs,” Gingrich said, perhaps referring to Trump’s claims that have been discredited.
“In Democrat-dominated states, like New York, Illinois, California, you just have to assume that the machine will steal as much as it can,” he added.
“Wow!” he said. said Bartiromo.
bartiromo has been named as a defendant in the pending Smartmatic lawsuit that claims Fox News repeated falsehoods that Smartmatic voting machines skewed the election in favor of President Joe Biden.
Trafalgar voter pool pollster Robert Cahaly got the ball rolling in the segment by stoking fears of “untraceable” votes.
