Between DeJean’s versatility and the Cardinals’ needs in the secondary, this is a team-player pairing that made a ton of sense in the first round — and makes even more sense in Round 2.

43. Atlanta Falcons: Chris Braswell, Edge, Alabama
After opting for a quarterback in the top 10, the Falcons will still be searching for pass-rush help on Day 2. Braswell led Alabama in pressures last season, just ahead of Dallas Turner.
44. Las Vegas Raiders: Ennis Rakestraw Jr., CB, Missouri
45. New Orleans Saints (from DEN): Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
46. Indianapolis Colts: Max Melton, CB, Rutgers

With Byron Murphy II off the board, the Bengals’ first-round decision was made for them. Jenkins could be the consolation prize, as Cincinnati builds up its interior defensive-line depth.

Teams are looking for players who are at least 6-foot-5 and 300-plus pounds on the defensive line, but those types are in short supply in this draft class. Smith is still a work in progress, but he has the traits and trajectory Cleveland covets.

With the additional third-rounder the Cowboys picked up by trading back in Round 1, they should be able to find linebacker depth. Here, they get the athletic Wallace.
