NIA chargesheets 2 shooters in Arsh Dala-Linked Neemrana Hotel firing case – The Tribune

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against two key shooters in the 2024 Neemrana hotel firing case, which is linked to Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala.

The accused, identified as Puneet and Narinder Lalli, have been chargesheeted under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

According to the NIA, the Punjab-based shooters were directly involved in carrying out the firing at the Highway King Hotel in Neemrana, Rajasthan. They were also allegedly involved in issuing threats and demanding extortion from the hotel’s owners.

With the latest chargesheet, the total number of accused included in the case has risen to nine. Investigations are still ongoing, sources said.

The September 2024 attack was allegedly executed by a terrorist-gangster syndicate comprising the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), led by designated terrorist Arsh Dala, and the Bambiha gang. The NIA said the attack was planned by gang members Dinesh Gandhi and Saurabh Kataria, and executed by Puneet and Narinder, who were operating under the protection of Arsh Dala and Gandhi.

The agency further stated that the two shooters used prohibited weapons and issued threats on behalf of the syndicate. Investigations also revealed that they received sustained logistical support, including funds, shelter and weapons, to further the objectives of the Khalistan Tiger Force.
