During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a curious fan asked Nick Jonas a question about his first text to Priyanka Chopra and whether he had ever messaged other women before their relationship. Responding with a heartfelt sentiment, Nick expressed: “Life before Priyanka is a distant memory. She doesn’t exist.”
When asked about the content of that first text message, Nick pulled out his phone and commented, “Let me look. I saved a photo.” The crowd reacted with endearing sounds upon hearing Nick’s comment. After that, the singer showed the message to the camera, reading it out loud. “I said something to her to the effect of, ‘Hey, I know we have a lot in common, mutual friends, and I think we should meet up.’ And she was like, ‘Nice to meet you, let’s go.’ DM, let’s text. My team could be watching,” Nick said. He further added, “I’m sure there were DMs before, but the only one that mattered was my wife.”
Previously, Priyanka opened up about how she didn’t take it seriously when Nick Jonas started texting her. “Honestly, I didn’t take it seriously when Nick was texting me, you know, I was 35, I wanted to get married, I want kids, and he’s, you know, 20, and I don’t know if that’s something he wanted to do, like I did that to myself for a while, until I actually went out with him and nothing surprised me more than him,” she said.
