nikki haley still seems to be pulling his punches when it comes to donald trump.
Although the former president is Haley’s rival for the 2024 Republican presidential ticketrefused to attack him during an appearance on the CBS show “Face the Nation” on Sunday.
When asked if Trump would be found responsible for sexual abuse and defamationthe former South Carolina governor feigned support for the victims while clumsily defending the “defendants”.
“Do you think it undermines your party if the leading Republican candidate is someone who has just been found legally responsible for sexually abusing a woman?” asked hostess Margaret Brennan.

“I have always said that anyone who feels they have been sexually assaulted in any way should come forward and make their voice heard,” Haley responded.
He quickly jumped to the other side of the situation, adding: “I think anyone who has been accused should be able to defend themselves.”
“I was not on the jury. I’m not the judge,” Haley continued. “I think both of them had their voices heard. There has been a verdict and there is even an appeal.”
Haley’s ambivalent response led Brennan to ask, “Are you questioning the legal findings?”
“No,” Haley said. “I said there is a verdict. And I think there has been an appeal. And I believe that she is where she is. And I think the American people should make a decision based on that.”
Trump’s legal team filed an appeal on Thursday, just two days after the writer was ordered to pay E.Jean Carroll $5 million in the case.
Despite the losing verdict, the former businessman has continued to publicly attack Carroll.
During a CNN town hall last Wednesday, he mocked her, telling an audience packed with supporters: “I have no idea who the hell (her).”
