Louisville is this year’s host city of the nomadism festival (September 28 – October 1), a festival of nomadic travel tribe that centers and highlights Black, Indigenous, and travelers of color from around the world. The Nomadness community has more than 34,000 travelers of color around the world.
This annual event will feature big names from the travel industries and travel businesses. Some of the highlights will be jeff jenkins, Who’s in the National Geographic Travel Spotlight; Deidre Mathisthe first black woman in the United States to open a shelter; Jason Dunn, who is president of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners; and Evita Robinson, TED-Talk certified speaker and community leader in the travel industry. The focus of the event will cover the travel business, leisure and conscious travel.
The festival will take place in four local venues: the Muhammad Ali Center, The Belvedere, parisian cityand Hotel Museum of the 19th century. XXI.
