Arne Slot makes three changes to his Liverpool team that faces RB Leipzig in the Champions League as Alexis Mac Allister returns for Curtis Jones.

Darwin Nunez replaces the injured Diogo Jota, as expected, with the Portugal international having not travelled after the rib issue he picked up in the 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Jota picked up the issue in an early tangle with Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo and was later replaced in the first half by Nunez after being in too much pain to carry on at Anfield.

Kostas Tsimikas comes in for Andy Robertson at left-back as Caoimhin Kelleher continues to deputise for Alisson Becker in goal after his hamstring injury picked up in the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace before the international break.

Mac Allister was used from the substitutes’ bench on Sunday after initially being an injury doubt following his withdrawal at half time of the win at Palace before the break but the Argentina international starts alongside Ryan Gravenberch as Jones, the match-winner from the weekend, drops to the bench.

Cody Gakpo continues on the left side of the attack, with Luis Diaz being kept in reserve. Mohamed Salah starts the game as the Egyptian looks to add to his seven goals this term.

Liverpool: Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Nunez.

Subs: Jaros, Davies, Gomez, Endo, Diaz, Jones, Robertson, Quansah, Morton, Nyoni.
