When she auditioned in Mumbai, she didn’t know it was for jawan. She said in a statement: “Initially, during the audition, I was not aware of all the details of the project. However, as soon as I was told about the incredible lineup of actors involved, I was overcome with an overwhelming mix of disbelief and joy. I screamed out loud. From then on, every subsequent question I was asked received an instant ‘yes’ answer. The mere thought that I am part of a great project like jawan it gives me goosebumps. Also, I know this movie will be seen by millions.”
Sharing his shooting experience jawanSanjeeta added, “Being surrounded by such experienced actors, I found myself continually learning and growing, just by observing their craft. It is truly a priceless treasure that I am taking away from the jawan ensembles – a remarkable group of people who possess not only immense talent, but also genuine kindness, a great sense of humor, and silliness. These remarkable people have now become an integral part of my life, and I am grateful to call them my dear friends.”
Acting alongside Shah Rukh Khan was obviously a dream come true for Sanjeeta. “Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that one day I would drink coffee, sing and dance with SRK,” she said. “I felt like I was living a dream. He made sure everyone was comfortable on set and even brought me a guitar and microphone when he found out I was a musician.”
Directed by Atlee Kumar and also starring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayantara and Sanya Malhotra, jawan is scheduled to release on September 7 of this year.
