Islamabad (Pakistan), September 24 (ANI): A local court in Islamabad sent journalist Muhammad Khalid Jamil in a 14-day program preventive prison in a case involving the spread of “provocative narratives against state institutions through social media platforms,” ARY News reported on Sunday.
ARY News reported that Khalid was produced in Islamabad district and sessions court after completing a two-day physical remand.
During the hearing, the FIA requested further remand for Jamil, which was rejected by the Islamabad court.

Furthermore, the FIR included Section 505 (statement conducive to causing public harm) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The FIR said: “The accused had knowingly misinterpreted and spread an anti-state narrative by sharing false, misleading and baseless information which may also cause fear in the public and may incite anyone to commit crime against the state or state institution or the public. “. tranquillity.”
The agency further said that “the defendants, including Muhammad Khalid Jamil, propagated, promoted and glorified an anti-state, provocative and hateful narrative against state institutions.”
The FIA did not reveal details about other people involved in the alleged crime, according to Dawn’s report.
The agency termed such bullying content of blaming and naming through social media accounts as a mischievous act of subversion to create a gap between the general public and state institutions to “harm the State of Pakistan”.
