Pakistan reports 1043 COVID cases in 24 hours

Pakistan has reported 39 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 946,227. 

The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,913 on Friday. 

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1043 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 

Till now 10,603 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 5,306 in Sindh, 4,252 in KP, 773 in Islamabad, 571 in Azad Kashmir, 300 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB. 

Furthermore 344,641 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab,330,552 in Sindh,136,663 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,278 in Islamabad, 26,466 in Balochistan, 19,868 in Azad Kashmir and 5,759 in Gilgit-Baltistan. 

Pakistan has so far conducted 14,026,336 coronavirus tests and 54,647 in the last 24 hours.    888,505 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,413 patients are in critical condition.
