Pakistan’s army carried out focused strikes in opposition to militant hideouts in Iran on Thursday, responding to an assault by Tehran a day earlier in a uncommon escalation of tensions that each side signaled they don’t wish to see worsen.
Pakistan carried out morning strikes in opposition to “terrorist hideouts” in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province, Pakistan’s International Ministry mentioned in a press release. The transfer adopted Iran’s strikes in opposition to Jaish al-Adl, a separatist group primarily based in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
