A Pakistani anti-terror court issued an arrest warrant with the possibility of bail for former Prime Minister Imran Khan after he failed to appear before a judge to hear a complaint against him related to violent protests in March, his lawyer Tanvir Rajput said by text message.
The government accused the former cricket star of instigating violence by causing damage to state property by his supporters. Khan faces more than 150 other cases ranging from corruption to murder since he was remote power in a motion of parliamentary censure.
