Pakistani TikTok star Hareem Shah (@_Hareem_Shah) in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on September 3, alleged that her husband had been “kidnapped” by people in civilian clothes a week ago. In the video, Shah also asked Pakistan’s intelligence agency, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), to locate her “innocent” husband, “who has no criminal record or political affiliations.”
In the clip, Shah said that seven days have passed since her husband Bilal was kidnapped in Karachi. He TikTok sensation she said that she and her husband were in London and that Bilal had to go to Pakistan for a job. In the evening, when she ventured out of the house after lunch, cars and men in civilian clothes arrived and took him with them “illegally”, she said.
He said he also petitioned the court and complained to the police, but to no avail. Shah said this was an “affront to the rule of law in Pakistan.”

“My husband Bilal has been kidnapped by people in civilian clothes. I request law enforcement to locate my husband. Bilal has no connection to any political party,” he wrote in Urdu on the microblogging platform.
In another post on X, Shah had claimed that her husband Bilal was “kidnapped in Karachi on the orders of
of Maryam Nawaz”, daughter of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif.
“It seems my husband Bilal has been kidnapped in Karachi on the orders of Maryam Nawaz. I appeal to the ISI to get Bilal back as soon as possible,” she wrote.
Shah is no stranger to controversy. In August, after India became the first country to land a spacecraft on the moon’s south pole, he posted a disparaging tweet.
“The Modi government spent millions of dollars to send the #Chandrayaan3 mission to the moon, but it would have been BETTER if they used the same money to build toilets all over India. Get your priorities right,” he posted.
On August 21, he posted a video purporting to feature the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Sharif Sharif walking with a woman, who Shah said was his “new girlfriend.”

This 25-second clip apparently became the reason for Bilal’s disappearance, according to his mother.
Bilal Shah’s mother alleged in a police complaint that her son was abducted from Karachi’s Korangi area on August 27 due to his wife Hareem’s posts on social media.
