Pakistan’s exemplary role in Afghan peace process acknowledged across globe: Ch Sarwar

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that Pakistan has the best-armed force in the world which is capable of defeating the enemy at every front. The sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war on terror are unparalleled in the world.

Addressing the participants of Pakistan Navy’s 51 Staff College at Governor House Lahore on Friday and answering their questions, he said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan is taking practical steps to strengthen institutions in Pakistan.

Chaudhry Sarwar said that Pakistan wants peace not only in the region but in the whole world and Pakistan has also played an exemplary role in the Pak-Afghan peace process and today the world is appreciating the role of Pakistan for peace. 

He said that 220 million people of Pakistan are with the Armed Forces of Pakistan and we are proud that whenever Pakistan hostile countries including India have tried to conspire against Pakistan, the security agencies of Pakistan have proved them by giving a blunt response.

He said, even in the war against terrorism, all our security agencies, including the Armed Forces of Pakistan, have made sacrifices, thanks to which now peace has been established in Pakistan. Today, Pakistan is successfully advancing in every field. The manner in which Pakistan Navy is protecting Pakistan’s defense on the maritime front is a source of pride for every Pakistani. We pay our heartfelt tribute to our soldiers, he added.

Governor Punjab said that the incumbent government was strengthening the institutions as well as ensuring transparency and merit in the country at all levels. And for the first time in the country, practical steps are being taken to strengthen the institutions.

This Pakistan belongs to all of us. It is the responsibility of every Pakistani to play its role in good faith for the development, prosperity, peace, and stability. When every Pakistani will play their role honestly,

surely no power in the world can stop Pakistan from moving forward, he maintained.

Chaudhry Sarwar has said that there is a passion needed for any success. I salute the officers and sailors of the Pakistan Navy. The government will meet the needs of the Navy with the available resources. The government is working for development and stability in the context of defense needs, he added.

He said that Gwadar Port has increased the responsibilities of the Pakistan Navy, the navy will fulfill its responsibilities for the national defense in an efficient manner. The capabilities and military capabilities displayed by the Navy are commendable. CPEC will play a role in the economic development of the region. We are proud to pay tribute to our young men, he concluded.
