A woman in her 80s is in critical condition in hospital after a house fire in Larne on Saturday.
he incident took place in the Ballyrickard Road area shortly before 1pm.
Both police and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) attended the scene.
Three fire service appliances and two officers responded to the house fire.
“The incident was dealt with by 2:38pm,” a NIFRS spokesperson said.
A PSNI spokesperson said the fire is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
“A woman, aged in her 80’s, has been taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition,” the spokesperson said.
The Ballyrickard Road was closed for a number of hours but has now reopened.
