People flee their homes as another horror fire erupts – major incident declared

A major incident has been declared in a UK town after another fire erupted in Britain. Ten fire engines and three aerial platforms have been dispatched to Selbourne Road in Luton, where firefighters have been working since 6am on Saturday to quash an inferno that erupted at a bathroom showroom.

Nearby residents vacated their homes, as locals are urged to keep their windows and doors shut due to plumes of smoke.

In an update, the fire service said crews had surrounded the fire and were using water jets to tackle the fire.

The update read: “Firefighters have worked incredibly hard in challenging circumstances to extinguish the fire and it is anticipated the fire service will be on scene for the rest of the day.

“All people are accounted for.”
