PM Imran hails Putin’s statement in respect of Prophet (PBUH)

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Friday has welcomed the statement of the Russian President Vladimir Putin in respect of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In a tweet, the premier wrote “he ‘welcomes’ the perspective of Russian President which mentions Insults to the prophet are rather a violation of religious freedom and the violation of the sacred feelings of people who profess Islam.”

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a press conference shared his views in which he said insulting the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) does not count as freedom of expression.
