PM Imran to visit South Waziristan today | The Express Tribune

Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to visit South Waziristan today (Wednesday) as part of his emphasis on the development of the erstwhile tribal districts.

During his visit, the premier would perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the extension project of Cadet College Wana.

 

 

He would also distribute cheques amongst the deserving families under the Ehsaas Kafalat program whereas he would also be briefed about the digital survey of Ehsaas program on the occasion.

 

 

The prime minister is also expected to meet tribal notables In Wana and would distribute cheques amongst the successful applicants of Kamyab Jawan Loan Scheme and Youth Internship Scheme.

Among his other engagements in the tribal district are the inauguration of a hospital with modern facilities in Mola Khan Sarai and another meeting with notables of the area.

 

 

Earlier this month, PM Imran performed a ground-breaking ceremony of Sheikhupura-Gujranwala road – a project being completed at a cost of over Rs5 billion.

Last year in December, PM Imran undertook a daylong visit to the industrial city of Sialkot, during which he inaugurated AirSial, the country’s third airline in the private sector, launched several development projects worth billions of rupees and attended a ceremony organised by the local businessmen.

The same month the premier inaugurated the Institute of Cardiology and laid the foundation for the Hayatabad Sports Complex renovation project during his visit to Peshawar.
