Police operation to thwart anti-lockdown protesters ‘an overwhelming success’

New South Wales Shadow Police Minister Walt Secord says the police operation to halt attempted anti-lockdown protests in Sydney on Saturday was an “overwhelming success”.

“Those far-right conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers crawled back under the rocks they live under.”

Mr Secord told Sky News the decision to deploy up to 1000 extra police officers in Sydney to deter protesters was one he “fully” supported.

“It was an overwhelming success, and I want to thank police officers who showed up today.”
