Police swarm UK city centre over ‘bomb’ fears as locals told ‘avoid the area’

Millbrook Acadmey has been evacuated and the One Stop shop is closed.

Council workers are here, as well as the EOD and a specialist team involed in surveying, their reports said.

Pedestrians and cars are being diverted away from the scene. The road towards the ferry dock is also closed.

Officers at the scene are stopping pedestrians from going past.
