Shortly after arriving in the city on her first visit to the state after becoming president, Murmu will visit Subhash Chandra Bose’s residence, Netaji Bhavan, in the southern part of the city to pay tribute to the national hero.
President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Kolkata on Monday for a two-day visit to West Bengal.
Shortly after arriving in the city on her first visit to the state after becoming president, Murmu will visit Subhash Chandra Bose’s residence, Netaji Bhavan, in the southern part of the city to pay tribute to the national hero.
From there he will proceed to Rabindranath Tagore’s residence at Jorasanko Thakurbari in central Kolkata and pay homage to the national poet.
Murmu, will be congratulated in the evening by the West Bengal government at a scheduled show at the Netaji Indoor Stadium where Governor CV Ananda Bose and Chief Minister mama banerjee will be present.
On Tuesday, the president will honor UCO Bank’s completion of 80 years celebration in Kolkata after visiting Belur Math, the world headquarters of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
The president is also scheduled to go to Santiniketan to honor the annual convocation of the Visva-Bharati college.
