Pune Temple Spring Festival Dazzles Visitors With 50 Lakh Blooming Flowers | LOOK

The Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple was transformed into a vibrant floral wonderland, adorned with 50 lakhs of roses, lilies, magnolias and marigolds. The enchanting fragrance of flowers filled the air as the people of Pune gathered to witness the magnificent display of their beloved Ganpati Bappa.

The Ooty and Mogra Spring Festival, organized by Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal, featured a silver statue of Ganaray covered in Ooty. A dedicated team of 250 women and 70 men worked tirelessly over three days to create the stunning flower arrangement.

Devotees marveled at the intricate decorations that adorned Ganpati’s trunk, ears, crown, and long dress. As the Mogra Festival began, huge crowds from the city and its surroundings flocked to the temple, eager to capture the impressive spectacle on their cameras and phones.

Manik Chavan, Chairman of the Trust, highlighted the importance of the event, saying: “Farmers work hard on their farms all year round to grow flowers. Today, they have offered these flowers to their Bappa in the temple, praying for the peace and happiness of the Baliraja.”

This year’s festival featured 700 kg of mogra, 30,000 magnolias, 26,000 roses, 90 kg of oleanders, 300 kg of marigolds, lotus and other flowers, and 500 kg of rajnigandha and lilies. In the midst of the celebrations, the Bharatiya Varkari Mandal presented a moving rendition of bhajans.
