Putin’s Friends Brag: Elon Musk ‘Really Our Agent!’

Russian experts have long predicted that it is only a matter of time before American aid to Ukraine It is endangered by war fatigue and internal problems. Currently, the MAGA branch of the Republican Party is more than delivering, as a stopgap funding bill passed by Congress to avoid a shutdown excluded much-needed funding for Ukraine.

As a special bonus for supporters of the Russian war effort, Elon Musk weekend mocked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on X (formerly Twitter) for seeking international support to help his country repel a genocidal aggressor.

As expected, Musk’s cruelty brought joy to Putin’s spokesmen. During Monday’s broadcast of 60 minutes, state television presenter Olga Skabeeva noted: “It is impossible not to notice that the West is growing tired not only of Zelensky but of Ukraine as a whole, as a circumstance that is constantly diverting their money. Elon Musk is magnificent, he is wonderful and maybe he really is our agent! He posted a meme about a beggar that recently became popular, using Zelensky’s face instead of that person. He says, ‘When it’s been five minutes and you haven’t asked for a billion dollars in aid.’”

Skabeeva mentioned the congressional bill that specifically omitted aid to Ukraine and noted cheerfully: “Not long ago it was impossible to even imagine something like that!”

He also surmised: “Unless something changes in the next 45 days, the United States will certainly stop helping Ukraine!” Skabeeva described Ukraine as “a walking corpse” and said the West is ready to consider it a loss. Thrilled by Musk’s contribution to Russia’s trove of anti-Ukrainian propaganda, Skabeeva praised his wealth, his commentary and the “exquisite hat” she recently donned during a visit to the US southern border.

State Duma deputy Andrei Isayev agreed, saying: “Our president’s strategy turned out to be quite smart. Not long ago, the West seemed like a consolidated and united front fighting against us. “This consolidation continues to disappear.”

Isayev noted: “We remember that when Zelensky traveled to the United States a year ago, he received a standing ovation in his parliament.” He noted that this year the president of Ukraine was not even allowed to speak before Congress and later, both Republicans and Democrats voted for a bill that cut funding for Ukraine. Isayev concluded: “We have arrived!”

Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov added that the Lend-Lease Act bill, which authorized the Biden administration to lend or lease military equipment to Ukraine and other Eastern European countries, quietly expired on September 30 without being extended. He concluded that the program represented the West’s faith in Ukraine’s eventual victory and failure to renew it meant that America’s faith and commitment to the war effort expired along with the law.

Dmitry Abzalov, director of Russia’s Strategic Communications Center, said the changes Russia is seeing in the United States would be unthinkable just a year earlier. He assumed that the decline in American support will bear fruit in the theater of military operations in the near future, leading to a decline in Western support in general and a corresponding deterioration of Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

Some of the Kremlin’s most prominent spokesmen repeatedly reiterated that Putin’s invasion is nothing but a land grab and a tactic to restore the Russian empirewith a blatantly genocidal agenda towards Ukraine. However, moral clarity on this issue is taking a backseat to internal power struggles in the United States.

During the evening broadcast of 60 minutes, Skabeeva continued to praise Musk for his anti-Ukrainian stance. He proudly noted that “the richest person in the world” is now known as “Elon Moskal,” meaning “Elon the Muscovite.”
