Queensland has confirmed one new coronavirus cases, days after a South Brisbane trio returned to the state from Melbourne allegedly without disclosing their travel history to police.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said this morning 9076 had been tested around the state yesterday, which resulted in lengthy delays and traffic queues at testing clinics around Brisbane’s southside, the Sunshine Coast, Townsville and Toowoomba.
The 27-year-old man, from Bellbird Park, is believed to be a close contact of someone who dined at a Korean restaurant in Sunnybank.

Ms Palaszczuk said it was important anyone who had been at the Madtongsan IV restaurant on July 23 came forward to get tested.
The man who contracted the virus likely did so from a relative who works at Bolton Park Aged Care Facility.
Chief Health Officer Dr Jeanette Young said the aged care facility had ‘good protocols’ in place.
It comes as police charged three women with one count each of providing false or misleading documents and fraud, with maximum penalties of up to $13,345 and five years imprisonment.
Deputy premier and health minister Steven Miles said of the 9076 tests conducted around the state yesterday, 726 were in the West Moreton Health and Hospital Service and 2498 in Metro South.
