A Mpumalanga man and three of his friends will be jetting off to watch the World Cup final in Doha, Qatar, in December after winning the National Lottery’s Sportstake competition.
MPUMALANGA MAN WINS TRIP TO WORLD CUP FINAL
National Lottery operator Ithuba said the World Cup competition ended on 4 November. Sportstake players were automatically entered into the draw for the once-in-a-lifetime trip if they played via the online platform. The draw was made on 7 November.
The winner, Mlungisi Makhanya, placed a R2 wager via the National Lottery’s online platform.
“When contacted by ITHUBA to inform him about winning the competition, he could not believe his luck and was quite excited about winning this trip,” said the operator.
Makhanya and three friends will leave for an all-expenses paid trip on 15 December and return on the 19th. The final is scheduled for 18 December.
“During this time, they will be treated to a four-hour private city tour; spending a day at the Qatar Gold Dune Safari to enjoy the thrills of Dune Bashing, Camel Rides, Sand Boarding, and a visit to the Inland Sea Desert,” said Ithuba.
