He also referred to those who have been creating a commotion due to the actions provoked by judicial sentences.
At a time when the uproar created by Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks abroad, as well as his disqualification from Parliament following a conviction in a criminal libel case, still reverberates, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar spoke on Thursday against those who go to foreign countries and use platforms there to attack India.
“You will not find a parallel in the world, when people in positions of power go to other countries, to other geographical places, and destroy their own country. We all need to reflect on this,” he said at Network18’s Rising India Summit.
The Vice President said that you can see a whole ecosystem aimed at hindering our growth; Attacking India’s legitimacy as a nation-state, its constitutional institutions, including Parliament, is becoming a favorite pastime, “even for some of us.”
He also referred to those who have been creating a fight for actions derived from court rulings.
“If there is a court verdict one way or another, it is not optional for the government or the person concerned to obey or not obey it. There is only one option: obey it or resort to legal remedies,” Dhankhar said.
