OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Wet roads are expected to cause the biggest commute impacts for Omaha-area drivers Tuesday morning.
First Alert 6 Traffic reporter Jaret Lansford said that storms expected to pop up through the morning will make wet roads the primary issue for morning commuters.
Lansford’s morning traffic forecast focuses on western Douglas and Sarpy counties due to two main factors:
- Elkhorn’s first day of school: Tuesday is the first day of school for Elkhorn, adding a potential traffic concern amid the wet conditions.
- Heavier rain: Downpours are currently a little bit heavier in Sarpy County.
Lansford said these areas will remain the focus for commuter impacts until other traffic incidents develop.
