Temperature and UBV forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Warm in the Lowveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine to partly cloudy and warm to hot. It will be cloudy and cool along the coast with light south to south-easterly.

Wind: Wind, becoming moderate to fresh late morning, but strong north of Hondeklipbaai from late afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Fine in the west, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, becoming strong in the west from the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain in the east, becoming partly cloudy in places in the afternoon.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming light and variable from the evening.

The Eastern half Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm in the north, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain, but scattered along the coast and adjacent interior. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop in the afternoon.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming south-easterly from late morning, but north-easterly from evening.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool, with isolated showers and thundershowers. It will be warm in places in the north.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly, becoming moderate south-easterly in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
