Rose West becomes gran again as paedophile son has baby with model

Rose West’s son, Stephen West, has fathered a child with ex-glamour model Emma Bradley, making the notorious inmate a grandmother once more.

Stephen West and his partner Emma Bradley are celebrating the birth of their daughter Eden, but Rose, aged 71 and serving a life sentence, will never meet her granddaughter after Stephen severed ties with his infamous mother. Despite family concerns over Stephen’s past conviction in 2004 for underage sex offences, he and Emma have forged a relationship.

Now 51, Stephen, who was raised in the infamous ‘house of horrors’, chillingly confessed: “There’s a bit of my dad in me.”

His father, Fred West, was a serial killer responsible for at least 12 murders between 1967 and 1987, often with his accomplice and second wife, Rose. Fred West took his own life in a prison cell in 1995.

Rose West, who has been incarcerated for nearly three decades, reportedly gave up on appealing her conviction in 2001 and seems to accept that she will die in prison. The Sun has sources claiming that Stephen and Emma plan to wed this August at the Celtic Manor hotel in Newport, reports the Mirror.

An insider alleges that Emma’s family does not back the relationship, finding Stephen’s presence unsettling and causing “a rift” within the family. Emma, a trained nurse employed at Gloucester Royal Hospital, also has two daughters from a previous partnership.

Emma has disclosed that she and her partner Stephen were oblivious to reports of Rose’s deteriorating health and relocation to a disabled room in prison “because she can barely walk,” as they maintain no contact. Despite watching the chilling Netflix documentary Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story, Emma revealed Stephen “doesn’t want to say anything because his main priority is the little ones.

“He is adamant, at this time of his life he’s got a young family to protect.”

She continued. Stephen, now a grandfather, has been married twice and is a father to eight children.

A source confided to The Sun about Rose’s monotonous existence behind bars, stating: “She never really leaves the wing she’s held on and is escorted all the time by prison officers if she goes anywhere. Sometimes she sits in the communal areas on her own. No one talks to her because everyone knows who she is and what she did, even if she has changed her name. When I was there, she tried to make friends with the other women and gave them gifts, like vapes, but she was rejected. She likes to watch nature documentaries on the TV in her cell, especially ones about birds.”

In an attempt to sever ties with her notorious past, West has allegedly spent £36 to legally adopt the name Jennifer Jones. It is believed she underwent the name change by deed poll last December, telling acquaintances it signifies a fresh start.

Nevertheless, her true identity remains common knowledge among inmates at HMP New Hall near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, where she is incarcerated.

Some prisoners rebuff her overtures of camaraderie, leaving her to frequently consume tomato soup solo in her cell for breakfast. She then devotes the bulk of her day to knitting and conversing with the television, as her mobility is severely limited.

West finds herself confined in a specialised section of New Hall called Rivendell House, where 30 inmates are each afforded an en-suite cell and provided with a laptop. This device allows them to order their meals, and the shared spaces are reportedly “more inviting” than other areas within the prison, as noted by inspection reports.

Stephen confessed in 2004 to seven charges of unlawful sex with a 14-year-old, reported the Worcestershire News at the time.

He even went so far as to arrange for her to have an abortion during the course of their eight-month affair.

Meticulously documenting their illegal encounters in a coded diary, he also lavished her with gifts — including jewellery and a mobile phone, enabling her to contact him while she was still attending secondary school.
