Schools reopen after two months across country

Matric and intermediate classes have on Monday, January 18, resumed as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) after two-month closure owing to the second wave of COVID-19.

The District Education Authority has ended the policy of fifty percent attendance for the teaching staff as all teachers are bound to attend schools from today. Earlier, 50 percent teachers came to school on Mondays and other 50 percent on Thursdays.

Up to 25 students in Islamabad will be allowed to be part of one class each day. If the number of students is more than 25 in a class, the rest of the students will take separate class.

Moreover, classes from one to eight, of Graduation, Masters, MPhil and PHD will resume in second phase on February 1. The educational institutions across the country were closed for second time from November 26, 2020 after staying open for almost two and a half months.
