Since his departure from Dharma Productions, Ayan Mukerji has been inundated with offers from all production companies. Out of all the offers he received, the director decided for himself to direct the epic YRF Spy Universe Film, war 2 with Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. leading the way. “The moment Aditya Chopra saw brahmastra, I knew that Ayan had the potential to direct a stylish action movie. She made Ayan an offer and the director was more than happy to enter the YRF Spy Universe. In fact, Ayan is excited to be groomed by the best in the business,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

In YRF, Ayan will get the best of the technicians from the West. “Ayan is being handsomely paid to direct war 2. He has signed the contract for Rs. 32 crores as director’s fee for war 2 and the director is preparing to begin pre-production work this month. Ayan intends to bring War 2 to the ground in November and finish it within a year,” the source told Bollywood Hungama.
war 2 is scheduled to be released in late 2024 or early 2025 and will be the sixth film in YRF Spy Universe after ek tha tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, loutand tiger 3. The movie will be a continuation of the later episodes. tiger 3 and will eventually lead to the epic showdown between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in Tiger vs. Pathaan.
