Scrub! SpaceX crews have stood down from an early-morning Wednesday try to launch a Falcon 9 rocket on the Intuitive Machines IM-1 mission from pad 39A at Kennedy Area Middle.
Why? In an 11:31 p.m. EST Tuesday tweet, SpaceX officers introduced they have been standing down “as a result of off-nominal methane temperatures previous to getting into methane load.”
The brand new goal liftoff time is 1:05 a.m. Thursday. Odysseus, the personal firm’s moon lander, will launch through NASA’s Industrial Lunar Payload Companies initiative and Artemis marketing campaign.
After stage separation, the Falcon 9 first-stage booster will goal touchdown at Cape Canaveral Area Pressure Station — triggering sonic booms on the Area Coast.
The Area Pressure’s forty fifth Climate Squadron pegs the percentages of “go for launch” climate at 90% for the brand new Thursday goal time. Thick cloud layers are the first concern, together with a low-to-moderate danger of upper-level wind shear.
