Drivers on the M3 motorway have been warned of severe delays to their journeys following a seriouscrash near the M25. National Highways said two lanes are closed eastbound in Surrey between junctions 3 and junction 2 due to the collision.
Emergency services have rushed to the scene. Drivers are currently facing delays of 40 minutes and three miles of traffic on approach. National Highways wrote on X: “Lanes 1 & 2 (of 4) are closed on #M3 eastbound in #Surrey between J3 #Woking & J2 #M25 junction due to a collision. @HeathrowAirport / @Gatwick_Airport. Emergency services on scene. Traffic is passing in lanes 3 & 4. Current delays of 40 mins on approach. 2 miles of congestion.”
