‘Serious’ fire breaks out near ferry port – ‘entire field ablaze’

A large fire broke out in the Devonport Park area. One person told PlymouthLive: “There’s a huge fire in Devonport near Babcock.” Another said: “There is a massive wildfire by Torpoint Ferry. The entire field is well ablaze, emergency services on scene.”

The fire broke out in a section of Devonport Park in Plymouth to the west of Park Avenue, just south of the road down to the Torpoint-Devonport Ferry terminal.
