Shibli Faraz urges opposition parties to test EVMs

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Senator Shibli Faraz on Wednesday said that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) cannot be hacked as they are not connected to internet.

Federal Minister, in a briefing about EVMs, said that the machines were made while keeping in view all requirements of Election Commission of Pakistan. No changes can be made in the machine nor any USB can be plugged into it, he added.

The minister further said that Election Commission is the only constitutional institution that can decide whether they want to use these machines or not.

Shibli Faraz urged all political parties to bring their experts and test EVMs.
