Small wildfire northeast of Ketchum fully contained

A small lightning-caused wildfire that ignited Friday afternoon in a forested area about 10 miles northeast of Ketchum has been 100% contained, the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office has reported.

The Sheriff’s Office first reported that the fire—called the Trail Fire—at 2:30 p.m. Friday, stating that a single tree in the Corral Creek area had been struck by lightning and was on fire.

Officials stated that the U.S. Forest Service sent firefighting resources to the fire. The Sheriff’s Office reported at 6:45 p.m. Friday night that the Trail Fire was 100% contained.
