Hurricane Ida, the latest named storm in the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season, strengthened Sunday into a Category 4 hurricane on its way to Louisiana.
Sunday, Ida made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane. A storm surge warning is in place for Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
