Colors show Suhaagan revolves around the fascinating story of Bindiya who performs all the housework for her extended family who mistreat her and her sister Payal. The story of the two sisters is taking an exciting ten-year leap, bringing a whirlwind of changes to the characters’ journeys. After the jump, 23-year-old Bindiya will be played by gorgeous newcomer Garima Kishnani, and 21-year-old Payal will be played by gorgeous actor Anshula Dhawan. The narrative will also introduce a new character, Krishna, played by Raghav Thakur.
Suhaagan will star Garima Kishnani, Raghav Thakur and Anshula Dhawan in the lead roles after the jump.
Speaking of Krishna, he will be a rich young brat, who wants to live his life without responsibilities. After the jump, Bindiya is hard at work as a farmer, while Payal is in her second year at a university in Lucknow. Unlike Bindiya, Payal is ashamed of his family background and has a secret relationship with Krishna. Their lives become complicated when Bindiya marries Krishna in a turn of events. The fates of Bindiya and Payal’s love lives are intertwined, and their future remains uncertain as Payal weaves a web of lies to become Krishna’s lawful wife. Will Bindiya rise above her sister’s schemes and will she retain her right as Krishna’s ‘Suhaagan’?
Garima Kishnani, also known as Bindiya, said: “I am very excited and honored to make my television debut with Colors. She will see me playing the role of Bindiya, who takes the responsibility of managing her family alone. She is adored for the kindness and positivity that she exudes from her. I find Bindiya very relatable because she would do what she is doing for her family, especially her sister. I hope the show continues to receive love from the audience and they accept me in the role of Bindiya.”
Anshula Dhawan, aka Payal, continued, “Suhaagan has earned immense love and support from the audience, and I am very happy to come on board in the role of Payal. I’m thrilled to explore my craft as a college-going girl who knows how to get her way in any situation. We hope viewers will look forward to the twists in the story and shower us with the love of it.”
Raghav Thakur, also known as Krishna, added: “It is wonderful to meet Colors for the second time with Suhaagan after Nima Denzongpa. I will play the role of Krishna, who does not want to take responsibility for running the family business. He likes nothing more than to relax with his friends and the love of his life, Payal. In a turn of events, he is forced to marry Payal’s sister, Bindiya, and this decision alters the lives of the trio. I can’t wait to hear what the audience thinks of my character and my performance as the story takes a leap.”
Suhaagan airs Monday through Sunday at 6:30pm on Colors only.
