Ted Cruz arrested for sharing another wildly misleading tweet

Sen. ted cross (R-Tex.) fell for more misinformation on social media Monday, sharing a wildly out-of-context tweet about the border.

The message that Cruz retweeted had a video showing part of the border wall apparently open.

“The Biden administration opened Trump’s border wall in Tucson, Arizona. It is not a crisis. It’s by design,” the original message read.

Cruz called him “crazy” and blamed the President Joe Biden how he shared it:

Versions of that message have been circulating in the right-wing media.

However, as a community note attached to the original tweet notes, the gates are open due to the threat of flash flooding, which could bring down the wall.

That policy that was in effect when donald trump was also in office, and the Washington Post reported on it in January 2020.

Cruz didn’t see a problem with that at the time.

Cruz has had some well-documented struggles with social media, especially X, aka Twitter.
