Teen fights for life after stabbing in UK town with cordon near Wetherspoon pub

-A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing in Oldbury.

-West Midlands Police were called to Market Street at around 12.15pm following reports of an altercation involving a group of teenagers.

-Officers have launched an investigation and remain at the scene carrying out enquiries.

-A police cordon is in place outside the Court of Requests Wetherspoon on the corner of Church Street and Market Street.

-Church Street remains closed, with restrictions also in place on Market Street.

-National Express West Midlands services 3, 4, 4M, 12, 22, 23 and 87 are being diverted while the road closure remains in place.

-The White Swan pub nearby remains open but has closed its front entrance due to the police cordon, directing customers to use the rear entrance instead.

-Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 2404 of 2 July, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously
