Teenager dies from stab wound at NSW South Coast party

An 18-year-old man died from a single stab wound at a party in Bomaderry on the state’s south coast on Friday night.

The circumstances of the stabbing are unclear. Police arrived at a home around 7pm, responding to report that the man had suffered chest injuries.

Paramedics treated him on the scene and transported him to Shoalhaven Hospital in a critical condition, but the teenager died shortly after.

Police have interviewed people who were at a social gathering at the property.

“It is a terrible set of circumstances but there is certainly nothing in our investigation that should concern the community and we will continue to try and find out what has occurred,” Detective Acting Inspector Ian Griffin said on Saturday.
