Thane teen arrested for threatening to kill Salman

A 16-year-old boy from Shahpur taluka in Thane was arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Division on Tuesday for allegedly making a phone call to the police control room on Monday night and threatening to kill actor Salman Khan. April 30.

It took three police teams eight hours to apprehend the teen after a 10-kilometre chase. The probe revealed that the Class XI defection had recently seen a YouTube video of Khan receiving threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and decided to issue a similar threat.

Police said that at 9:14 pm on Monday, their control room received a call from a person who identified himself as “goushala rakshak Rocky bhai” from Jodhpur. He claimed that he would kill Khan on April 30 and asked the police to inform the actor. Following this, security outside Khan’s home was stepped up. The actor has already received Category Y+ security due to a perceived threat to his life and has a bulletproof vehicle.

A technical investigation led the police to Padgha in Bhiwandi taluka. “Since the suspect had turned off his phone, we zeroed in on one location and searched a few homes, but to no avail. At 7:30 am, we saw two people on a motorcycle and we chased them in a vehicle. Seeing that unknown persons were chasing them, they fled. After chasing them for almost 10 km, we caught them at Dolkhamb,” a senior official said.

“We found the cell phone used to make the call to the suspect. He also admitted that he had made the call,” the officer added. The boy had come to his 26-year-old cousin’s house in Padgha about 10 days ago. The purpose was to visit famous places in Mumbai and learns jewelery work from his cousin and uncle at a workshop in Shahpur.

“The boy is from the Barmer district of Rajasthan and comes from the Chaudhary community, whose members are animal lovers, so he introduced himself as ‘goushala rakshak.’ The boy’s father is a pujari at a temple in Barmer,” an officer said, adding that the cousin had no idea that he had made a threatening call to the police. After interrogation, the criminal branch handed the boy over to Azad. Maidan Police Station. He was presented to the Child Welfare Committee, which will hand him over to his parents on Wednesday, police said.

Last month, the Mumbai police had registered a FIR TREE against mobsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, as well as a person named Mohit Garg, for allegedly sending a threatening email to Khan. However, the police suspect that it is a hoax.

Last June, a letter was kept at the Bandra Bandstand, where the actor’s father, Salim Khan, was out for a walk. The letter stated that the actor would also suffer the same fate as the singer. Sidhu Moosewalawho was murdered last year.
