The Australian wave

Over the past 5 years, Australian mining firms have been flocking to Canada. Between 2018 and 2022, direct Australian funding in Canada’s mining and quarrying trade grew exponentially from $1.7 billion to $9.8 billion, in response to Statistics Canada. In simply two years from 2020 to 2022, the funding greater than doubled. Whereas the figures for 2023 aren’t but accessible, anecdotally, it appears the Australian mining wave in Canada continues to develop.
