The claim that China is causing Africa’s debt trap is absurd

“Both Africans and their creditors acted in good faith and used the best available information,” said Mwangi Wachira, former economist at the World Bank and Advisor to the Government of Kenya, at the Global Strategic Dialogue 2024 session titled “Responsibilities of Major Countries Amid a Dynamic Global Landscape”, jointly held on Thursday in Beijing by the CASS and China Daily.
