The Kerala Story Box Office Collection Day 5: Director Sudipto Sen’s controversial film has flown under the radar even before it hits theaters on May 5. The film recorded the highest grossing of almost Rs 16 crores on Sunday 7 May but experienced a slight dip on its first Monday but managed to cash in double digits. Despite controversies, mixed reviews, bans and boycotts, the film is having a box office success and it surpassed Rs 50 crore on the 5th (May 9). While the film received support from many, some accused it of being propaganda and called for its ban.

In West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee imposed a ban on the film, citing concerns about keeping the peace and preventing potential crime and violence. However, trade reports suggest that “the film is on display in Mumbai, Central India, UP, Bihar and Bangalore is also outstanding.” According to early estimates, the Adah Sharma star shows growth of around 10 per cent over Monday’s collection and minted Rs 11 crore. Now the total collection of The Kerala Story amounts to about Rs 56.72 crores in 5 days.
“The film will not have West Bengal collections, but all it does is create more intrigue in the audience and the fear that other states may ban it attracts more people to the theaters. The film is basically unstoppable and could go anywhere. from here,” Box said. Indian Office.

In ‘The Kerala Story’, actress Adah Sharma plays the role of Fathima Ba, a Hindu Malayali nurse, who is among the 32,000 women who disappeared from Kerala and were later recruited by ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) after being forced to to convert to Islam. Furthermore, the film highlights the ‘Love Jihad’ propaganda where Muslim men manipulate Hindu girls into converting to Islam and abandoning their families.
Shortly after the film’s trailer was released, a petition was filed against it for “the worst kind of hate speech” and “audiovisual propaganda”. Many political leaders criticized the film, stating that the creators are making false claims that it is a true story and that the number ‘32000 women’ is false.
