According to recent reports, Kerala’s history will make its UK and French debut on May 12. On the other hand, the film has witnessed a huge uproar in India as some of the southern regions have decided to boycott the screening of the film. Readers will know that courts in Kerala and Tamil Nadu have been addressing allegations against the film, as many have called for it to be banned for its misrepresentation. Many of them have also claimed that the film is a weapon to spread communal hate. Although the courts have dismissed these pleas and allegations against the film, it was recently reported that theater owners refused to hold screenings and even removed it from listings.

With Adah Sharma playing the role of Shalini Unnikrishnan, Kerala’s history It is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The film portrays the story of South Indian youths who are manipulated into converting their religion and forced to join ISIS. While the movie is said to be based on true events, many accusations are being leveled against the movie due to its history. The film was released in India last week on May 5, 2023.
