The Masked Singer winner has made history after being crowned the champion of the show’s eighth season.
The two-hour grand finale of the Fox singing competition saw the Harp costume take on the Lambs in a battle for the win.
At the end of the episode, Harp was declared the winner and the famous face behind the mask was revealed to be actress and singer Amber Riley.
Harp made her debut way back on the very first episode of this installment of The Masked Singer in September and fans have had a strong hunch about her identity throughout the weeks since.
During her first appearance, Harp gave several clues to her identity, one of which being that she auditioned for “the biggest show in the world” as a teen but didn’t “fit the mold.”
The judges guessed Queen Latifah, Jordin Sparks, Fantasia Barrino and Jennifer Hudson, but fans at home were convinced it was Riley, 36, who auditioned for American Idol in 2003 before she landed the role of Mercedes Jones on Glee.
The Lambs, meanwhile, were revealed to be “Hold On” singers Wilson Phillips, made up of Chynna Phillips, Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson, during the season finale, which fans had also predicted.
Riley’s win marks a major milestone for the star as she has now become the first person to win both The Masked Singer and Dancing with the Stars.
The Single Black Female star took home the Mirrorball Trophy on Season 17 of Dancing with the Stars back in 2013, winning alongside partner Derek Hough who is now a judge on the Disney+ show.
Last season’s The Masked Singer winner Teyana Taylor, who competed as Firefly, is married to the 2021 winner of Dancing with the Stars, Iman Shumpert, but she has never competed on the ballroom dancing show herself.
There has been plenty of crossover between the two shows throughout the years, however, with Wayne Brady, The Masked Singer Season 2 winner, making it all the way to finale of Dancing with the Stars 2022.
Brady was partnered with Witney Carson on Season 31 and the duo made it all the way to the end but ultimately placed third behind winners Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas and runner-up Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy.
Meanwhile, actress Rumer Willis won Season 20 of Dancing with the Stars but went home in the semifinals in the very first season of The Masked Singer. Similarly, Donny Osmond was crowned champion of Season 9 of Dancing with the Stars but came in second place on Season 1 of The Masked Singer.
Love Is Blind host Nick Lachey won Season 5 of The Masked Singer as Piglet but came in ninth place on Season 25 of Dancing with the Stars.
There is also Nicole Scherzinger, who is a panelist on The Masked Singer and won Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars, but Riley remains the only celebrity to have been triumphant on both shows.
Speaking to host Nick Cannon after her win and unmasking, Riley said: “This has been such an amazing experience.
“Just to be able to come out here and be completely covered and let my talent speak for itself. And the love that I have for people, and wanting people to heal, and feel what it is that I’m singing. So I hope everybody felt my soul, because I bared it right here on this stage.”
The Masked Singer will return on Wednesday, December 7, for a holiday special.
